Welcome to Finn Podiatry

Finn Podiatry will treat many lower limb related issues from foot, ankle, leg and knee pain to general foot care such as nails, corns and callus.
Our clients range from children to seniors and cover conditions associated with sports, biomechanics, paediatrics and diabetes.
We currently operate out of Fig Tree Health Clinic, located in Atherton.

Biomechanics

Biomechanics & Orthotics

A biomechanical assessment involves measurement of joint motion and alignment. We also perform gait analysis and muscle strength testing as part of an overall assessment to help guide diagnosis and treatment. Orthotics (or shoe inserts) are orthopedic devices that may be required to help prevent abnormal motion and are incorporated into a comprehensive treatment plan.

General Foot Care and Diabetes

General foot care services include trimming of nails and removal of callus, corns, plantar warts and ingrown nails. Diabetic foot care begins with an assessment of neurological, vascular and musculoskeletal status to evaluate the individual’s risk for complications such as ulcers and amputations. An individual treatment plan is then developed to help prevent these debilitating outcomes from occurring.

Sports Podiatry

Foot, leg and knee pain can adversely affect your sporting performance. In addition to a biomechanical examination, the characteristics of your sport or exercise on your condition will also be assessed. A treatment plan may include padding and strapping, orthotics, footwear advice, stretching/strengthening and foot mobilisation and manipulation.
